Javier, Camila and Riley presented their research at the 2026 EMBS Conference this year in Toronto!

Camila lead off the session on Hemodynamics presenting her work titled "Preliminary Validation of Transthoracic Phantom Model for Bioimpedance Analysis" to a packed room. Javier participated in a mini-symposium on pain providing an update on progress on our OIME IBS study with a presentation titled "Toward an Objective, Integrated, Multimodal Electrophysiological Index for Quantifying Visceral Pain: Preliminary Results." He also had an abstract submitted show casing our exploratory work on biomarkers of trust: "Physiological Biomarker of Trust in AI-Assisted Nursing Decision-Making." Riley was joined by two of our undergradaute research assistants (recently graduated...!) Lena and Amelia in presenting their work on understanding pressure as a experimental pain model with a poster titled "Preliminary Comparison of Multi-level Mechanical and Thermal Stimulation Response via EDA."
