The Posada Q Lab is currently enrolling participants who have a clinical diagnosis of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) from their healthcare provider and meet the criteria below. Participation lasts up to 2 hours during a visit to the UConn Storrs campus and can result in $50 compensation upon completion of the study.
This study utilizes a wearable device which collects signals from your abdomen, chest, and fingers that can be used to quantify the amount of pain that a person is experiencing. The research team aims to develop a objective biomarker of pain specific to IBS in order to evaluate novel pain-interventions.
